Adventure # 15
For one of my classes we decided to do some experiments with bees to see if they had a preference for tall vs. short flowers. Turns out they are not huge fans of rain, wind, or clouds which meant that we had to keep going back a trying again which wasn’t exactly the beeeeee’z kneeeez (HA.ha.ha) but anyway they were still pretty cool and their little colorful bee homes were pretty nice looking as well.

Bees are also just awesome cause when they do find a prime flower location they fly back to their hive and do something called “The Waggle Dance” where they waggle and are all like HAY GOIZ! I found these great flowers! and then their little dance tells everyone else where all da flowers at by showing the angle the flowers are from the sun. COOOOL!
Adventure # 14
Oh you know, just a normal day with the friendly neighborhood taxidermist.

Caitlin and I met Butch (the taxidermist) and he showed us around his studio and told us a bit about what he does.

Contrary to what people may think, the animals aren’t actually “stuffed.” Instead, foam forms are used.

Sorry if your a veggie…

Deeeeerz

These are some of the best pictures I’ve ever seen. Orange camo AND and American flag!? I must be dreaming…but seriously I want those pictures! (or to be best friends forever with those men)

Here are some pictures from a video project I’m working on for class. The whole idea is about recreating scenes from childhood imagination and play pretend games.

Wolves are pretty badass and as a little kid my friend and I were really into having her siblings pretend to be hunters and us having to run around and hide and fend for ourselves in the treacherous wilderness of Westchester county. This of course meant having to hunt rabbit and deer as wolves don’t really like sandwiches, mac & cheese or cookies.

The fake blood is actually just made from strawberries and the wolf/animal hat thing that I made out of fleece and felt is just better constructed version of the weird outfits I’d make when I was little.

I think I may have accidentally made my wolf hat look slightly high/on heroin/kind of look like an armadillo and not a wolf but hey armadillos are awesome too…

It also had to be a self portrait and I’m convinced that I was way cooler when I was 5 sooooooo

Adventure # 13
So for this adventure I took a little trip. A trip down memory lane to be exact…ug
But seriously check out these awesome pictures I found in a shoe box of my parents way back when.

My Grandpa is pretty awesome too!

Adventure # 12
I was pretty much all over the place for spring break, starting off in Miami then driving to Vero Beach, then Boston, and finally home for a couple days. I thought Id get some cool pictures at Ultra but unfortunately they weren’t letting people bring their cameras in sooo all the good stuff is from NY.

Our “hotel” in Miami was pretty cool though, definitely kinda sketchy/not a real hotel and was like maybe run by some weird lady named Natalia who claimed to be German but definitely had a French accent and would be sitting in the lobby drinking wine with dogs running around when we came home every night, and like we may have also had to barter with the cleaning lady to get clean towels but besides all of that…great place.

So after going to Ultra, chilling with my grandparents, and seeing some friends in Boston, I finally made my way home where I went on a lot of nice bike rides and tried to take some pictures of my favorite places

I made some nice duck friends while I was at it and also some nice people friends as well.

Oh and twinz

Theres this house in the village that I’m always so intrigued by. Its literally like a suburban house just plopped down on a street corner. I always want to know who built it and who lives there and like wants the deal?

I also like this bike shop a lot

and these bikes

I then took a little break from biking and went for a stroll along the hipster catwalk aka the High line
